That’s what I love so much about having a dog. A dog opens me up to other people and breaks down social boundaries in a very loving way. A dog makes us more human.
Some examples:
- My dog might sniff on clothes of fellow travelers in the tram or her wet nose comes into contact with a stranger’s leg 🙂
- In a restaurant my dog decides to sit down at the neighbors table (see picture)
- Children (who don’t know about social boundaries yet) might point at the dog, resulting in me sharing a smile with the parents
Dogs just add a bit of necessary messiness to our regulated lives. These situations can feel awkward, funny or heart-warming, that also depends on the type of people of course.
